Puck Podcast - August 19th, 2007

In this week's episode we begin our 2007-2008 season preview by taking a look at the Southeast Division as we talk with experts from all five teams to review their offseasons and predict how each team will do this season. We also talk with XTRA Sports 910's Bruce Jacobs about the Rick Tocchet situation in Phoenix, we discuss a former NHL goalie going to Sweden, where Peter Forsberg might play this year and what hockey movie Doug was in. All that and a whole lot more in this episode of the Puck Podcast.

You can also check us out on iTunes or by searching for "Puck Podcast". And, you can check out Doug’s Ducks blog on by clicking here. We're also on MySpace - click here. You can also call us and leave us a message on the Puck Podcast Hotline at (562)951-1343.

Hi guys

Great show as usual!
I heard you complain about the fact that the Flyers will be broadcast some 8 times next year on VS, and that we will not see the majority of the other teams. I coouldn't agree with you any more, but be advised that the parent company of VS is Comcast, which is owned by one Ed Snyder, the same owner of the Flyers. Until the NHL signs a real TV deal, we will be force fed the Flyers from here to kingdom come. This is just a quick FYI. Keep up the good work.
